Research and development of technical problems ranging from fatigue calculations, hyperelastic modelling of elastomers, experimental testing through to analytical studies of satellite mesh deployment. 



Senior Mechanical Engineer | Xerox (2004) 

Delivery of mechanical and electro-mechanical systems to market providing component design, assembly, and generation of technical drawings for part manufacture at all stages. 4 months secondments in Shenzen China and Willsonville America for manufacture and system integration.



Chief Mechanical Engineer | Eurofighter project | Leonardo (2011) 
Responsible for ensuring the design and structural integrity of the airborne defence systems in use on the Eurofighter Typhoon platform, addressing technical issues, and performing root cause failure of complex systems. I enacted design solutions within very tight constraints of manufacturing, product delivery, and design integrity.

Responsible for undertaking and managing the FEA and design team for new product development across the UK. I reviewed processes, introduced new tools, provided training, and mentoring to engineers, drove the design through FEA using Ansys, Siemens NX and Creo.

Responsible for all mechanical design of electronic warfare systems across Leonardo UK.

Creature Technology Co. (2015)

I collaborated with an amazing creative team of engineers designing and building 1:1 scale animatronic creatures of King Kong, I-Rex, T-Rex and all other lifelike creatures for a full immersive experience at Universal Studios

Wilson Transformer Pty Ltd (2017)

My team and I led the deign and manufacture of 10kV to 550kV power transformers for the energy industry.

Softmed Pty Ltd (2020)

With the onset of Covid, I setup a manufacturing facility in the North of Melbourne to manufacture PPE in the united fight against the pandemic.
